Michael Kunkel I was there, when Markus played that. Never heard of him before, but then ... ... Crimson ProjeKct gave a great show and since this evening I'm (no we're - my wife loves the music too and owns a signed T-Shirt ...) a fan of his work. There is so much to explore - and it is so touching ...
Favorite track: Patricia [Mainz, 23 March 2014].

Frank Hadlich I blissfully expected Markus' opening soundscapes at the TCP concerts - it was pure joy - absolutely the right way to set the stage.

Josh Donald This is a fantastic release that was not meant to be. I am happy Markus put it out. Very mellow, relaxing but at the same time a complex release. I enjoy this style of ambient/soundscape music.

Keep up the wonderful music you do Markus!!! Favorite track: Brigitte [Bologna, 30 March 2014].

William Jenks I am hesitant to buy "freely improvised" music normally, but this is different. There is structure and melody as well as surprise. Being solo guitar, he has complete control. Highly recommended.

Nick Bradey this is a superb set of improvisations which rivals Robert Fripp at his best

about

Live Openings from The Crimson ProjeKCt Spring Tour 2014

Compiled from a selection of opening live improvisations performed by Markus on Touch Guitar throughout The Crimson ProjeKCt’s Spring 2014 European Tour. These instant compositions set the tone for each concert and provided a launch pad for the two drummers to begin their drum duet. The edits presented here cut-off at the point where Pat and Tobias entered the performance.

These pieces weren’t originally conceived as an album, however, we’ve devised a sequence that works harmonically, though they can just as easily be enjoyed in shuffle-mode or an order of your choosing.

Please note that due to the nature of the material this recording is not mono-compatible.

The Crimson ProjeKCt are Adrian Belew, Tony Levin, Pat Mastelotto, Markus Reuter, Tobias Ralph, and Julie Slick.

Thank you to the band and crew for the wonderful time we had on this tour. Very special thanks to Francesco Grieco, our agent and tour manager, and Julie Slick for the album title and sleeve illustrations.
