In 1981 I was with my father in a Tangerine Dream concert in the Stadthalle Bremen. This piece of music brought both memories of this event and a very fresh note on top. Wonderful music beyond time and technology.

This starts of on a very shine-on-you-crazy-diamondy note before steering into tangerine-dreamy waters - no surprise there ;-)
In whatever constellation, Markus Reuter fails to disappoint!

THORSTEN QUAESCHNING behind closed doors with... MARKUS REUTER
The best art is often created behind closed doors.
Together with renowned musicians, Thorsten Quaeschning of Tangerine Dream welcomes you to a series of musical evenings (Mondays and Thursdays) of a most special kind:
In collaboration with his guests, Quaeschning concocts real-time compositions for the distant eyes and ears of the audience, carrying them off into a unique world of sound far away from nights of monotonous entertainment.
The setup in front of the grand, but empty stage at ufaFabrik Berlin as well as the technically elaborate execution allow the audience to experience an extraordinary concert without having to leave the privacy of their homes.
Quaeschning and his team make use of the exceptional composer's extensive collection of equipment – and more. Creatively, all bets are off:
The Picture Palace Music-founder promises to go "wherever the music takes us".
Invited to the stage are:
Schiller
Schwarz (Roland Meyer de Voltaire)
Lüül (Agitation Free, Ash Ra Tempel, 17 Hippies)
Paul Frick (Brandt Brauer Frick)
Markus Reuter (Stick Men, Centrozoon, The Crimson ProjeCKt)
Hoshiko Yamane (Tangerine Dream, Jane Birkin, Tukico)

This is an excellent album from Markus Reuter, accompanied by Fabio Trentini on Fretless Bass and Asaf Sirkis on acoustic drums recorded live in the studio. The interplay among these musicians is amazing throughout and, for me, this is true "progressive" music, as it charts new territory and leaves behind well-trodden cliches. It's challenging music that rewards a mindful listen. Put it on and listen through the whole album without modern social media distractions and you will see what I mean. Jerry F

Thank you for being temporarily inconvenienced and producing this voluptuous collection. ;)
The beauty and magic that came out of the ugliness of 2020. Artists locked away and confined who were compelled to produce AMAZING WORK that we would have never. heard before. Jonathan Pryor
