Once more (see Stephan Thelen's Fractal Guitar albums, to which Markus contributed), I'm wondering, how music can feel so abstract and yet so accessible at the same time. To me, that's a (very) good thing, indeed! Favorite track: Trial in Tears.

Alexander Babikov This compilation is a collection of seven improvised soundscapes created by nothing but an AU8 touch guitar and a computer in master‘s hands.
The pieces have very little in common, albeit they do tend to convey a somewhat warm and serene atmosphere,
that all of a sudden dissolves in a brutal and abrasive sounding piece called "Hell-ish", which transports the listener to a yet another new dimension, serving as an introduction to the sound of Markus Reuter‘s new project – Anchor and Burden. Favorite track: Sunlit Storm.

"Anchor and Burden" is a solo soundscapes album, and it's the introduction to the band "Anchor and Burden", which will release an album cycle (5 distinct releases) in the following months. "Magnet" will bookend the release cycle.

This is the most poignant music I have recorded in many years. I did not expect it, but the lockdowns etc. have brought out something really deeply emotional and urgent from deep inside of us musicians.

These live-in-the-studio recordings were filmed.
